a. devise creative solutions to complex problems,
b. utilize multiple resources in designing programs and policies,
c. articulate a vision and marshal support for its pursuit.

Leadership Portfolio
Writing and creating my leadership portfolio for Administration in College Student Affairs, allowed me the opportunity to identify my leadership philosophy, and style by evaluating my strengths and weaknesses. Declaring what I believe is building a strong foundation that will assist me when faced with challenges as a leader. Knowing my strengths and weaknesses will assist me when choosing collaborators, as it will be important to seek others who complement my weaknesses and support my strengths. As mentioned in Bolman and Deal, “each of us has a special contribution to make if we can shoulder the personal and spiritual work needed to discover and share our own gifts (2011, p. 9). The work has begun and I am
ready to continue the work necessary to fully utilize the strengths I have been given and make a
contribution in student’s lives.

Leadership Individual Project
Creating my own leadership project in CCSD 553: Administration in College Student Affairs class was a very challenging and empowering experience. All too often we are given assignments that will foster our growth, but this one in particular call me to think out side the box and develop an assignment myself. This project called me to identify something that would foster a learning experience in my leadership journey. I chose to read and reflect on Habitudes: Images that Form Leadership Habits and Attitudes, Book one, The Art of Self Leadership by Dr. Tim Elmore. This book is part of a series that that fosters leadership growth through visual and written activities. I chose the first book, which focuses on the individual, with the thought that one must know oneself before leading others. One of the most impactful things I learned was, “leaders realize they are drivers and are responsible for their attitudes and destination in life”. (Elmore, 2010, p. 49).

Citrus College AA/AS-T Individual Descriptions
As an intern at Citrus College counseling department, I was able to streamline a report to facilitate its use for students and counselors. CSU Similar Degree Program publishes a 35 pages report where students can identify, which CSU has similar degrees that match the AA/AS-T they are pursuing. The report is long and can be overwhelming to read. I was able to create an individual file for the AA/AS-T available at Citrus College. Students and counselors are able to directly go to the degree that applies to them and see which CSU offer a related Bachelors degree.
